Schools Using DMPC Curriculum

The Discrete Math Project Collaborative (DMPC) has been developed since 2016, originally funded by the California Department of Education via the CA Mathematics Readiness Challenge Initiative in an effort to create a new 12th grade mathematics course, Discrete Math Pre-Collegiate (DMPC), and provide professional development experiences for teachers teaching the course. The partnership brings together faculty from San Diego State University in the College of Sciences, College of Education, and Center for Research in Mathematics and Science Education with teachers and administrators from the Sweetwater Union High School District. Since then, the course has been adopted by several other districts in San Diego County and schools outside of California. The project also has created a new course, Discrete Math Problem Solving (DMPS), intended for 11th grade students. Both Discrete Math Pre-Collegiate and Discrete Math Problem Solving are UC "a-g" approved courses in the mathematics "c" category.
